Studio Hacienda – Victorian Premier’s Design Mark
Studio Hacienda (Phoebe Porter and Blanche Tilden) has been awarded a Victorian Premier’s Design Mark in the category of Self-initiated Hand Made Objects!
Judges Comment: “General Assembly highlighted important concerns within contemporary design practice with both practical and conceptul outcomes. The interrogation of the local, the importance of social networks, the interactive customisation and the adding of value through the application of a good idea are all elements that make this project intriguing and outstanding.”

Location Devices is an exhibition exploring ideas of connection and the networks that link people and places. It was first shown at e.g.etal as part of the Melbourne Design Festival 2008 and then at Metalab, Sydney in 2009. Location Devices was developed with the support of creation funding from Arts Victoria in 2007.
