Winter Neckpieces 2011 – Studio 20/17 – Sydney
3 May – 4 June 2011
The neck is the focus of the annual “Winter” group exhibition. Studio 20/17 invited a selected number of Australian and International artists to make contemporary versions of this ancient form of self expression. Expect to see works ranging from eye catching, oversized statement pieces, through to delicate pared back jewels. The only limitation is that the finished work can be worn around the neck.
The contributing artists are: Zoe Veness, Michelle Taylor, Vernon Bowden, Karin Jacobsson, Karin Findeis, Helena Bogucki, Karen Thompson, Joung-mee Do, Daehoon Kang, Melinda Young, Lauren Simeoni, Phoebe Porter, Raewyn Walsh (NZ), Kristin D’agostino (NZ), Djurdica Kesic, Melissa Cameron, Elfrun Lach, Leslie Matthews, Naomi Stewart, Valerie Odewahn, Melanie Ihnen, Sheridan Kennedy, Diane Appleby, Farah Bandookwala (UK), Maureen Faye-Chauhan and Saori Kita.
